Good
morning, |

A late bloomer, I started painting
seriously at the Ruth Prowse school of Art in Cape Town in 1993. Since
then I have studied with various great teachers and attended numerous
workshops, notably the Tupelo Workshop at the National Gallery in Cape
Town. My first solo exhibition was held in Grahamstown in 1997 at the
National Festival of the Arts, where my poster won 2nd prize. I have
exhibited at the Association of Visual Arts, the Bellville Library,
Quincy's, The Cape Gallery, Veo Gallery, Studio Art and Kirstenbosch
Gardens. I am a member of the South African Society of Artists and have
had work accepted by them every year at their prestigious annual
exhibition. I work in all media but my preferred medium is oil on board
or canvas. I love the South African landscape with its rich variety and
strong light and also the fantastic S.African fruit which inspires me to
do still life. I also enjoy life study in a class room situation and
Abstract painting. I like the space and light in my studio where I
experiment with different colour mixes.
